ShowSculptor, formerly known as Check In Pointe, was created in 2017 by Joe Naftal to solve a backstage challenge at his own dance studio: quickly and efficiently checking dancers in and out during performances. Recognizing the need across the dance industry for better performance management tools, Check In Pointe launched as a commercial product in 2019. Over the years, it has evolved into a comprehensive platform serving over 300 studios worldwide, offering solutions for show planning, backstage management, costume coordination, and more. Rebranded as ShowSculptor in 2024, the platform reflects its expanded capabilities and commitment to empowering studios with tools that shape every aspect of performance planning and execution.

ShowSculptor works on iOS, Android, Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS devices. You can use it on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop.
Do you rent iPads or other devices?
ShowSculptor does not rent any hardware, but recommends Choose2Rent for renting iPads or Mobile Hotspots for your event.
Can I use a laptop instead of a tablet?
Sure, ShowSculptor can run in any internet browser, so you can use a PC or Mac laptop instead of a phone or tablet.
How many shows can I have?
You can setup as many shows as you need. ShowSculptor is designed for a multi-show environment. You can check dancers in separately to each show.
Can I import my dancer's information?
Definitely! You can import any Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. We have instructions on how to import from Jackrabbit, Dance Studio Pro, and Akada.
When will I be billed?
Your credit card will be charged the annual subscription fee when you sign up. It will auto-bill each year on the anniversary of your registration unless cancelled prior.
Is internet required?
Yes, a high-speed internet connection is required to connect to ShowSculptor. Many venues offer WiFi (just check with your venue manager ahead of time).
What if WiFi is not available?
In the event that WiFi is not available, you can use a cellular-connected device (such as an iPhone, Android phone, or an iPad with Cellular). You can also use a Mobile Hotspot. However, your check-in speed will depend on your network connection. A slow network connection can slow check-in time.
How many students can I check in?
You can have as many students as you need for each show.
Can I use multiple devices for check in?
Absolutely! You can connect as many devices to ShowSculptor as you like. Since the ShowSculptor app connects to the internet, each device will always be up to date.
